McDonald’s India – North and East has launched a new TV commercial (TVC) that will make viewers re-live the happy moments they have experienced with the brand. The TVC was created to showcase how McDonald’s has been an essential part of small moments of happiness across generations, while remaining true to its value promise. With a relatable and heart-warming message, the TVC provides a glimpse of the care, love, and reciprocity that the brand offers. McDonald’s India – North and East managing director Rajeev Ranjan expressed that the TVC has been designed to make customers relive the happy times they have had with loved ones at McDonald’s by taking them down memory lane.
The TVC was created by DDB Mudra and features a grandfather-granddaughter relationship. The TVC starts with a grandfather and granddaughter riding in an autorickshaw after the grandfather had just received an injection. The girl tries to relieve her grandfather’s pain by using a trick her grandfather once used on her. After a brief conversation with his granddaughter, the grandfather realizes that she is taking him to McDonald’s, where they shared happy moments together, and they both choose the McAloo Tikki Meal.
The campaign is expected to resonate with McDonald’s customers, young and old, who have fond memories associated with the brand. The commercial provides a relatable instance for viewers and captures the essence of creating memorable moments at McDonald’s with minimal effort.
