New Tool Predicts Atrial Fibrillation Risk: Study
Scientists at the University of East Anglia have developed a new tool that can identify patients at risk of atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat. Atrial fibrillation increases the risk of stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) by up to five times.
