The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia has organized 20 exhibitions to enhance the religious pilgrimage experience for worshippers during the Hajj season. The exhibitions showcase field events in the Grand Mosque in Makkah and nearby holy sites, as well as virtual, digital, and mobile displays in Makkah and Jeddah.
The exhibitions, which document the histories and successes of the Two Holy Mosques and other religious monuments, also feature some of Saudi Arabia’s cultural and technological developments.
The unprecedented initiative, aimed at promoting cultural communication and knowledge enrichment, provides an opportunity for pilgrims to learn about the past and present services offered in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
To cater to the interests of visitors, the organizers have drafted more than 40 guides with specialist knowledge to offer help, advice, and detailed information to exhibition visitors.
According to Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, the exhibitions’ huge enriching force holds immense value and provides pilgrims with an opportunity to learn and appreciate the success stories of the Two Holy Mosques and other heritage and historical monuments.
Overall, the exhibitions signify a welcoming initiative by Saudi Arabia’s religious authorities, demonstrating their efforts to make the pilgrimage experience more engaging, immersive, and educational for worshippers.
