The commerce center will be constructed on the site of a demolished office park and is set to include a Costco Wholesale and fuel station, a Dick’s House of Sport store, a Delta Sonic warehouse facility, and office space for KeyBank. The announcement of this project has generated excitement among residents and shoppers in Amherst, who are eagerly anticipating the introduction of these new retail options.
One resident, Taylor Boneti, expressed enthusiasm for the arrival of something different in the area and shared excitement about the added convenience the plaza would bring. She stated, I am truly very excited about all of it. I believe the traffic will be really crazy on the street over here. All around, I love this plaza. I shop here all the time.
Ashish Singh, a local resident, highlighted the value of Costco, stating that it offers quality products at reasonable prices. Singh recalled how friends would drive out of town during their college days to take advantage of the affordable deals at the big box retailer. With grocery prices continuing to climb, many families in Western New York see Costco as a welcomed addition that may help mitigate rising expenses.
