Mumbai, Feb 29: Streamer Netflix unveiled its upcoming slate for India featuring over 22 projects, including a series on the 1999 Kandahar hijack, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web show Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Imtiaz Ali’s film on Amar Singh Chamkila, and the documentary To Kill A Tiger.
Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content at Netflix India, expressed excitement for the diverse lineup. The star-studded event ‘Next on Netflix’ showcased talents like AR Rahman, Diljit Dosanjh, and Farhan Akhtar, among others.
The first looks of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, Amar Singh Chamkila, and other projects were revealed, promising engaging storytelling and rich content variety for audiences. An array of films, series, and documentaries, coupled with star power, signals an ambitious year for Netflix India.
