Nagaland Board to Implement Exam Reforms

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced that it will introduce examination reforms with the implementation of the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020. Among the reforms, the installation of CCTV cameras in all examination centers is aimed to improve coordination and management. During the keynote address at the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA), NBSE Chairperson Asano Sekhose praised private schools for their Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) and High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) results. However, she urged schools to concentrate more on classroom learning and make it more effective. Other significant points of discussion during the meeting centered around private schools’ minority status, Right to Education (RTE), Inner Line Permit (ILP), and Tejaswini Bai Bhaurao Patil Training Scheme (TBBT) programs. The event was attended by more than 100 members from across the state, who posed pertinent questions that were satisfactorily clarified by the guest of honor and special invitee.

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) is an autonomous body for academic courses in the state of Nagaland, India. The board conducts HSSLC and HSLC exams, and its aim is to impart education and conduct examinations to every student of the state at the school level.

Asano Sekhose is the current Chairperson of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). She was appointed to this position in April 2021. She has been widely recognized for her work in the field of education. Prior to her appointment, she served as a lecturer, principal, project director, and a member of the Nagaland State Commission for Women.
