N Brown Group has announced the appointment of Clare Empson as the new director of supply chain, effective January 15, 2024. Empson, who brings with her 25 years of experience in the retail sector, will report directly to N Brown’s Group CEO, Steve Johnson.
Empson’s appointment aligns with the company’s succession plans for the current director of supply chain, Phil Barnes, who announced his retirement last year. As the director of supply chain, Empson will join the N Brown executive board and will be responsible for various aspects, including operations, distribution, workplace, engineering and facilities, health and safety, supply chain MI, solutions, and logistics transformation.

Clare Empson most recently served as the director of operations at Ted Baker, where she held various senior roles within the retail and transformation departments. Her extensive experience in leading global retail operations positions her well for her new role at N Brown.
