The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Mumbai, India, has welcomed its longest-ever visitor, the MSC Hamburg cargo ship. The 399-metre-long vessel with a draught of 14 metres arrived at the port safely from Colombo in Sri Lanka. MSC Hamburg has a capacity of 16,652 TEUs and is sailing under the Panama flag. The JNPA Chairman, Sanjay Sethi, expressed his delight at the arrival of MSC Hamburg and hailed the importance of the port in strengthening global supply chains. Sethi said the visit was proving that JNPA is a significant part of maritime excellence, it can cater to growing trade demands across the world and is committed to efficient operations. The JNPA officials commemorated the event by presenting a plaque to the Master of MSC Hamburg.
