Mumbai Police Recovers Lost Bag Containing Rs 42 Lakh Cash

The police launched a thorough investigation based on his complaint. They scanned multiple CCTV cameras installed along the Eastern Freeway, the route taken by the taxi to drop the businessman at Ghatkopar. However, they initially did not find any clue about the cab.
Fortunately, their breakthrough came when they checked the cameras installed at Wadi Bunder signal and were able to obtain the taxi number. Utilizing an e-challan machine, they retrieved all the details about the vehicle. Through their investigation, the police discovered that the taxi was owned by a resident of Tardeo. Acting swiftly, they reached the owner’s residence and successfully recovered the bag with the entire amount of cash intact. Surprisingly, the driver was aware of the cash in the bag but did not contact the police.
Despite the apparent negligence of the taxi driver, no case was registered against him as the businessman did not lodge a complaint against him. The police handed over the bag containing the cash to the relieved businessman.
