The accused couple, identified as Shabbir and Sania Khan, and the alleged middleman, Shakeel Makrani, are now in custody. As soon as the couple’s family learned about the incident, the story came to light. The accused couple sold their older son for Rs 60,000 and their one-month-old daughter for Rs 14,000. The identity of the person to whom the children were sold is yet to be determined.
Shabbir and Sania Khan were known to be drug addicts, unable to live without narcotics. They met Usha Rathod, who allegedly played a role in connecting them with potential buyers. The Crime Branch stated, The couple sold their son to a person for Rs 60,000. The identity of the person to whom the children were sold is yet to be ascertained. Also, the couple recently had a daughter. They sold the girl to the accused, Shakeel Makrani, last month for Rs 14,000.
The shocking case came to light when Rubina Khan, Shabbir’s sister, discovered what had transpired. Outraged by her brother’s actions, she immediately reported the incident at the D.N. Nagar police station, filing a complaint against Shabbir and Sania. The D.N. Nagar police registered the case and subsequently handed over the investigation to the Crime Branch.
