**Robbery victim offered N2.5m, job – Daily Trust**
A motorcyclist who fell victim to a robbery in Jos, Plateau State, has received a generous donation of N2.5 million and a job opportunity. Mr Silas John was left unconscious and bleeding after being attacked and robbed of his motorcycle. His story caught the attention of the public, leading to an outpouring of support.
The extraordinary turn of events unfolded at a comedy show organized by popular comedian Godwin Alechenu Ogah, also known as Funny Gee, in Jos. At the event, John was gifted with the N2.5 million donation and offered a job at a fertiliser plant in Jos. In addition, John’s daughter was awarded a one-year scholarship by members of the audience.
The comedian, Funny Gee, had come to John’s rescue when he discovered him lying injured at Fwavwei Junction in Rayfield, Jos. He immediately rushed him to the Nigerian Air Force Hospital for first-aid treatment before transferring him to the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital informed John that surgery and other treatments were necessary, amounting to a cost of N600,000. To raise the funds, Funny Gee launched an appeal on social media, touching the hearts of many people who generously contributed.
