Moline Man Faces Charges for Aggravated Domestic Battery and Stabbing Incident
A Moline man, Andrew J. Schrup, is facing charges in Rock Island County for an alleged stabbing incident. According to county court records, the Rock Island County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Schrup, 34, with aggravated domestic battery and two counts of aggravated battery. The charges stem from allegations that Schrup stabbed one man in the ankle and kicked another man in the head and body.
The incident, which took place on Friday, resulted in the victim with the knife wound needing emergency surgery to repair it. The exact time and location of the incident have not been disclosed in the court records, but the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office is said to have investigated the case.
Schrup made his first appearance in court on Saturday, and his next appearance is scheduled for August 22. His bail has been set at $50,000, and in order to be released, he would have to post a $5,000 bond. As a condition of his bond, he would not be allowed to have any contact with the two men he allegedly attacked.
