Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijaya Singh, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, alleging that only leaders or parties approved by Modi would be allowed to contest the elections in 2029 if he returns to power in 2024. Singh made these remarks at an event in Bhopal on June 1, further accusing Modi of having no faith in democracy and labeling him as a dictator. Singh also claimed that Modi has only promoted himself and tarnished the country’s social economy. He finished his comments by asserting that if anyone criticizes Modi, they are often targeted by the ED, IT, and CBI.
