Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused the Narendra Modi government of looting India more in nine years than the British did in 250 years of their rule. Speaking at a public rally in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Kejriwal also criticized the Congress for looting the country over 75 years.

Kejriwal urged the people to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in order to eliminate corruption in Chhattisgarh. He responded to Modi’s criticism of his welfare schemes by stating that he is distributing revdis to the poor, while the government officials are taking advantage of their positions.

The Delhi Chief Minister pointed out that under the Modi government, the prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed. He emphasized that taxes on food items like milk, tea, coffee, and oil have increased significantly. Kejriwal stated that unlike the British rule, which did not impose taxes on essential goods, the current government is burdening the people with unprecedented taxes.

Furthermore, Kejriwal accused Modi of waiving off debts totaling Rs 11 lakh crore for his friends. He claimed that the Modi government has looted more in nine years than the British did in 250 years, or even the Congress did in 75 years.

Kejriwal questioned whether Modi would have waived off such a massive debt for free, and criticized the arrest of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in a money laundering case. Kejriwal argued that while Modi has been in power for ten years, the country has not benefited from demonetization, which was supposed to curb corruption and terrorism.

Kejriwal praised the achievements of the AAP government in Delhi and Punjab, stating that Chhattisgarh lacks good politicians and political parties capable of driving the state’s progress. He urged the people of Chhattisgarh to vote for the AAP, promising free electricity, excellent schools, quality education, free healthcare, free water, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage facilities for the elderly, and employment opportunities for the youth.

Taking a dig at Modi’s education qualifications, Kejriwal shared the story of a fourth-class pass child from a poor family who became the king of a great country and subsequently ruined it.

The rally also saw the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
