The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate intensity rain with gusty winds in Delhi and its surrounding areas. The thunderstorm, accompanied by winds with speed ranging from 30-50 km/h, is likely to occur over most places in Delhi, NCR, Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram, and other adjoining areas. Some regions in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are also expected to receive moderate-intensity rain on Sunday.
The IMD forecasted that most areas in Delhi, including Safdarjung, Lodi Road, IGI Airport, and Ayanagar, will receive light to moderate intensity rain. Meanwhile, several areas across Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, namely Gulaoti, Sikandrabad, Jahangirabad, and others, are expected to experience similar weather conditions.
The thunderstorm and rain could lead to relief from the scorching heat in Delhi and other regions. However, locals have been advised to remain cautious and avoid any travel or outdoor activities during the storm. The IMD has also asked authorities to take necessary precautions to avoid any damage caused by the rain and winds.
The IMD has issued regular updates regarding the weather in the region and has urged citizens to stay alert and prepared. The India Meteorological Department is responsible for providing reliable and accurate weather forecasts, ensuring the safety of millions of people across the country.
