MMB Cyber School organised a Media Literacy workshop at Ruzhukhrie Higher Secondary School in Kohima on May 22 in order to equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. The workshop was attended by over one hundred students from IT, Tourism, and Hospitality classes.
The session was led by Tsutipang Jamir, Head of Media and PR at MMB Cyber School, who provided an overview of media literacy and discussed the C3 syllabus – which covers cyber-security, cyber-safety, and cyber-bullying – in detail. Jamir also elaborated on the concept of Netiquette or Internet Etiquettes, and urged the students to use the internet responsibly and ethically. He highlighted the importance of making informed decisions while using the internet and exploring its benefits for the benefit of mankind.
The attendees got an opportunity to interact with Jamir during a Q&A session, and hear real-life cases of scams and frauds anonymously in order to be aware of their surroundings. The students also had fun participating in virtual program activities.
