Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate, the company behind the submersible named Titan which went missing in the Gulf of Mexico, has been heard in undated Zoom footage saying he didn’t want a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys on his team, despite this being a characteristic of other sub-operators. He claimed that he wanted younger individuals who could be more inspirational to work on his projects and contribute to the development of marine technology. Rush is among five people missing in the Gulf and onboard the Titan; the sub has only hours left of oxygen until it runs out.
