A car owner in Greater Noida was fined Rs 34,500 after a minor was caught performing stunts in public with their Volkswagen Polo. Videos of the modified car, with tinted windows, driving recklessly surfaced on social media, prompting action from the traffic police. The car’s pollution under control certificate had also expired in May. The owner was penalised under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act for dangerous driving, disobedience of orders, driving without a valid license or by a minor, driving without the written permission of the state government for racing, pollution violations and using tinted glass. The owner’s identity remains unknown.
