Minor Electrocuted in Mumbai

A tragic incident occurred in Mumbai when a six-year-old girl lost her life due to electrocution while a five-year-old boy was injured. The accident happened when they touched a live electric current on a lamp pole in Chaitanya Colony, Vakola, Santacruz East. The incident occurred just before midnight and was reported early in the morning, with rescue teams immediately dispatched to the area.

The girl, identified as Teharin Parveen Iftekhar, was gravely injured and was declared dead upon arrival at the BMC’S V.N. Desai Hospital. Meanwhile, the five-year-old boy, Tanish PA Shinde, suffered injuries and was rushed to the same hospital. Fortunately, his condition is now stable.

The cause of the electric lamp pole having current passing through it remains unknown, and the authorities are currently investigating the incident.

While we mourn the loss of a young life in such a tragic accident, let us all be reminded to take utmost caution around electrical equipment and to stay away from live electric current.
