More officers of the Ministry of Labour are now certified to work on Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) oil platforms in the Atlantic, according to a release from the ministry. The certification includes the Tropical Basic Off-shore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (T-BOSIET) 5501, as well as the Off-shore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPITO) Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) 5903.
The newly certified officers comprise Maxean Bess, Senior Occupational Safety and Health Officer; Nazmoon Prittipaul Jaipaul, Occupational Safety and Health officer; and Labour Officers Ravi Persaud and Emanuel Ramdhial.
