Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah recently visited the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and met with OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha, delegates, representatives, and consuls of OIC member states and its subsidiary institutions. The discussions focused on the arrangements made by Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj and what measures have been taken to provide the best possible conditions for pilgrims to perform their rituals comfortably.

The minister highlighted the efforts made by health, organizational, service, logistical, and security authorities to ensure the success of Hajj and Umrah for pilgrims. He mentioned that the Pilgrim Experience Program was launched as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives, which aims to raise the level of services provided to pilgrims and enrich their experience. He also mentioned significant projects such as the expansion of the Grand Holy Mosque, the establishment of Al-Haramain High Speed Railway, the development of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and the development of historical mosques and Islamic archaeological sites.

In response, Taha expressed appreciation and gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, the Saudi government, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and all state sectors for their efforts to facilitate the procedures required of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

Ambassador of Djibouti to Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Representative to OIC Dya-Eddine Said Bamakhrama also highlighted the services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since its founding by the late King Abdulaziz until the present. He mentioned several expansions to the Two Holy Mosques and Holy Sites, which were implemented by the Saudi government.

The visit emphasized the importance of Hajj and Umrah for Muslims, and the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to provide the best possible facilities for pilgrims and visitors.
