Microsoft Israel to Develop ChatGPT’s Security Features

Microsoft Israel R&D Center will focus on developing security for ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence app created by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The Herzliya-based center will help commercialize the enterprise version of ChatGPT by advancing cybersecurity solutions that will protect its users’ privacy and data security. Altman visited the Microsoft campus during his visit to Israel, signaling the intention for further collaboration between the companies. Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI, aiming to improve its AI capabilities and reliability while also addressing security issues. Besides, OpenAI scientists will also advance Microsoft in AI capabilities and train it on existing and potential threats. Encryption tools and advanced cybersecurity solutions developed could potentially benefit many organizations that require a high level of service and data privacy, such as banks, insurance companies, industrial plants, and hospitals.
