Microsoft is taking its AI-powered browser and search engine to mobile devices, opening up new possibilities for users. The tech giant will bring its Edge browser and Bing search engine, both equipped with ChatGPT-style chat options, to iPhone and Android. These AI-powered versions, which were launched in February, offer features like summarized answers and image creation. Since their launch, Bing has recorded over one billion chats and generated more than 750 million images.

Microsoft’s move to bring these AI options to mobile devices aims to provide a broader range of people with access to the value of summarized answers and image creation. The company stated that AI will bring about fundamental changes across software categories, starting with the most significant category of all – search.

While Bing and Edge are free for use and download, there are some limitations when using Bing on third-party browsers. These limitations relate to word count, chat history, and more. However, these limitations don’t apply when using Bing with the Edge browser. Microsoft encourages users to take advantage of the full Bing experience when using Edge, as it offers longer conversations, chat history, and other built-in Bing features.

Microsoft is excited about the progress made in the past six months with its AI tools and promises to introduce more AI features in the future. The company aims to continue offering users innovative AI solutions that enhance their search and browsing experience.

Overall, Microsoft’s decision to bring its AI-powered browser and search engine to mobile devices opens up new opportunities for users to access cutting-edge technologies and expand the capabilities of their mobile devices.
