Michigan Football Continues Recruiting Efforts with Blue-Chip 2025 Quarterbacks

Michigan Football is ramping up its recruitment of quarterbacks in the class of 2025, with another highly sought-after prospect set to visit the program next month. Ryan Montgomery, a four-star quarterback out of Findlay, Ohio, is scheduled to attend the recruiting BBQ at the Wolverines’ campus, according to reports.

Montgomery, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds, is currently ranked 210th overall in the On3 Industry rankings. Among quarterbacks in his class, he is ranked 15th. While On3 rates him slightly lower at 28th, every other scouting service places him within the top 14.

The standout prospect hails from Ohio and has garnered attention from both Michigan Football and Ohio State in terms of visits. He has made a total of eight visits to Michigan Football’s campus and nine visits to Ohio State. In addition, he has made four visits to Kentucky.

This upcoming visit to Michigan Football will mark Montgomery’s ninth time on campus. He previously attended the Wolverines’ summer camp, where he had the opportunity to showcase his skills for head coach Jim Harbaugh.

It is evident that Michigan Football has a strong interest in Montgomery. The program is also actively pursuing other top quarterback prospects, such as Bryce Underwood and George MacIntyre. Recently, MacIntyre, a five-star quarterback, visited Michigan Football for a multi-day visit.

Adding to the mix, the Wolverines will also be hosting another blue-chip quarterback, Akili Smith Jr., during the recruiting BBQ. Smith, a four-star prospect, is among the top three teams being considered by Michigan Football, alongside Florida and Oregon.

With three top-100 quarterbacks in recent visits, including Montgomery, who is a highly regarded four-star prospect, Michigan Football has multiple promising options on the table. While Underwood is seen as the ideal scenario, Michigan Football has a legitimate chance of securing his commitment.

Although the program is focused on Underwood, it is encouraging to see progress being made with other quarterback targets. Regardless of the final outcome, any of the four quarterbacks would be valuable additions to Michigan Football’s quarterback room.

The Wolverines’ recruitment efforts are gaining momentum as they continue to attract top talent. Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming season and the potential impact these blue-chip quarterbacks could have on the team. As the recruitment process unfolds, it will be interesting to see which quarterback ultimately chooses to don the maize and blue.
