The colourful tableau of Haryana at the 75th Republic Day parade on Friday depicted the theme of ‘Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchan’ which is an ambitious programme of the Haryana Government which is playing a meaningful role in realizing the dream of Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). The main objective of this program is to provide the benefits of government schemes to eligible families by connecting with technology through the data of every family collected and updated by the government.
The tableau showcased a traditional symbol of empowerment for Haryanvi women, with a woman holding a digital device symbolizing a developed digital India. This highlights the ease with which people across every corner of Haryana can access and redeem government schemes with just one click from the comfort of their homes through the Parivar Pehchan Patra.
Additionally, the tableau depicted the significant achievement of 12 million metric tons of wheat production in the state of Haryana, showcasing the agricultural success of the region.
At the rear section of the tableau, the benefits of the Parivar Pehchan Patra were highlighted through a phone. These benefits include seamless procurement of ration, agricultural subsidies for farmer families, scholarships for young students, and pensions for the elderly. The Parivar Pehchan Patra card serves as an access point to these benefits for key stakeholders, including women, the elderly, farmers, and youth.
The 75th Republic Day celebrations began with President Droupadi Murmu unfurling the national flag at Kartavya Path. President Murmu was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon her arrival. The National Anthem played, and a 21-gun salute was presented to the President.
President Murmu was accompanied by her French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, who served as the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day celebration. The two presidents were escorted by the President’s Bodyguard, ‘Rashtrapati Ke Angrakshak,’ which is the seniormost regiment of the Indian Army. This year holds special significance for the regiment as it completes 250 years of service since its establishment in 1773.
The presidents arrived at Kartavya Path in a ‘Traditional Buggy,’ which marked its return after a gap of 40 years.

This display of unity and progress aligns with the vision of a developed India and highlights the efforts being made towards achieving it.
As Haryana continues to implement programs like ‘Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchan,’ it sets an example for other states in harnessing technology for the betterment of its citizens and making government schemes easily accessible to every eligible person.
