Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, paid her respects to the late Emperor of Kashmir, Yusuf Shah Chak, at his grave in Bihar’s Islampur district. Mufti offered a Chadar on Chak’s mazar and urged the chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, to take steps to preserve the site. She also visited the Maha Bodhi temple in Bodh Gaya to offer her prayers. Mufti was in Bihar to attend an opposition meet in view of next year’s general elections, where she was joined by other leaders including West Bengal CM Mamata Benerjee, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, and left parties leader D. Raja. The meet is scheduled to be held on Friday.
