Thirteen people were injured in the stampede, with some suffering from soft tissue injuries while others had various wounds on their backs, legs, shoulders, and chests. Among the injured were three police officers and two Community Health Promoters. The injured individuals, ranging in age from 17 to 67 years old, were promptly rushed to Kericho County Referral Hospital for medical treatment.
The government has initiated an inquiry into the stampede to determine its exact cause and establish preventive measures for future incidents.
