Manoj Sane, who is accused of murdering his 32-year-old live-in partner in Mira Road, has been sent to police custody until June 22. The Thane court made the decision on Friday. According to police, Sane had pre-planned the murder and purchased poison from a store in Borivali 15 days prior to the killing. Officials believe Sane intended to slowly poison his partner or poison her and chop her body into pieces. Sane had been floating the suicide theory of his partner to avoid being caught, but his plan was foiled. Police suspect that arguments between the couple, caused by Sane’s activity on dating apps, may have led to the killing.
