The Delhi High Court will hear the interim bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia today. Sisodia has requested a temporary bail of six weeks, citing his role as the sole caretaker of his ailing wife. The case revolves around an alleged money laundering scam related to the Delhi excise policy.

Sisodia was arrested on March 9, and his regular bail plea is currently pending before the high court. The excise policy was put into effect by the Delhi government in November 2021, but it was eventually scrapped at the end of September 2021 amid accusations of corruption.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma is set to deliver the verdict on Sisodia’s interim bail plea.
