Imphal, July 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed optimism about the improving situation in Manipur, claiming that the state is gradually returning to normalcy. Sarma, who visited Imphal on June 10 and held meetings with various stakeholders, criticized the Congress for raising concerns while peace is being restored in the region.

According to Sarma, the state government and the Union Home Ministry are working silently to restore peace in Manipur. He highlighted that there has been significant improvement compared to the situation a month ago. Meetings are being held in Imphal, Guwahati, and Delhi to address the issues in Manipur.

Sarma also met with representatives of militant groups from the Kuki community in Guwahati on June 11. The discussion was described as positive and heading in the right direction, with both sides expressing a desire to cease offensive activities.

We are hopeful that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister will take positive steps to resolve the crisis, said Seilen Haokip, spokesperson for the Kuki National Organisation (KNO).

The Assam Chief Minister’s statements come amid concerns over the recent violence and unrest in Manipur. While the situation may be showing signs of improvement, it is important to consider different perspectives and opinions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the situation.

It remains to be seen how the state government, the Union Home Ministry, and other stakeholders will continue their efforts to restore lasting peace and stability in Manipur. The road to normalcy may still be challenging, but with constructive dialogues and proactive measures, positive outcomes can be achieved.

Overall, the situation in Manipur is gradually improving, and it is crucial for all parties involved to work together in finding sustainable solutions. Only through collaboration and a balanced approach can the lasting peace and progress be achieved in the region.
