Man Sentenced to 1 Year of Imprisonment for Eve-Teasing and Head Injury Assault
A man in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has been convicted and sentenced to one year of rigorous imprisonment for eve-teasing. The decision was made by the Bhopal District and Sessions Court, and it serves as a significant step towards addressing the issue of harassment against women.

Atulesh Kumar of Ashoka Garden attempted to hold her hand with ill intentions and demanded her mobile phone number. When she cried out for help, neighbors came to her aid, but the accused managed to flee. A case was filed against him under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In the second case, the complainant was on her way to buy milk in Kolar in February 2015. Ramji and Pappi verbally abused her, and when she protested, they assaulted her by striking her head with a stick, resulting in an injury. The accused were charged under Sections 294 and 323/34 of the IPC. The court found both of them guilty and ordered them to stand in the court for the entire day (TRC) until all proceedings concluded.
