Mumbai police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, for making threat calls about bombings in Mumbai and Pune. The accused, identified as Darvesh Rajbhar alias Rahul, allegedly called the Mumbai police control room and claimed there would be bomb blasts in Andheri and Kurla areas at 6:30 pm on June 24, demanding Rs 2 lakh. Police tracked him down and discovered that Rajbhar worked as a daily wage laborer and was in dire financial straits, leading him to make the threats to make quick money. Rajbhar was taken into custody, and during interrogation, he confessed his crime. He was later brought to Mumbai and sentenced to four days in police custody.
