A stabbing in Hillsborough County is under investigation, deputies say.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says on Friday at 11:52 p.m. it received a 911 call about a man who had been fatally stabbed at a residential area on Mott Road in Dover.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 31-year-old man who had upper body trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies stated.
Through an investigation, deputies found that an altercation between two men led to the stabbing of the man.
Our detectives are diligently gathering every piece of evidence and interviewing any witnesses to see what led to this tragic incident, said Sheriff Chad Chronister. No matter the disagreement, violence is never the answer. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will ensure that the individual responsible for this senseless death is held accountable.
