U.S. Marshals Service Arrest Lapwai Murder Suspect Hiding in Pendleton

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Law enforcement agencies successfully apprehended a murder suspect, 20-year-old William Eyle, who was hiding in Pendleton, Oregon. Eyle had been sought by the U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force on a federal warrant issued by the U.S. District Court.

The charges against Eyle include second-degree murder and the use of a firearm during a crime of violence. He is accused of shooting a victim multiple times on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in May before fleeing the scene. Following the incident, various agencies initiated a widespread search for the suspect.
