SALISBURY — A man already in prison for felony breaking and entering is facing additional charges after allegedly breaking into his family’s home and stealing a television and cell phone. Jeffrey Scott Clark, 44, was hit with charges of felony breaking and entering of a building, felony obtaining property by false pretenses, and larceny after breaking and entering. The incident occurred on Nov. 5, 2023, when Clark got into an argument with his stepfather, who subsequently kicked him out and changed the locks to their home on Vance Avenue. Clark’s stepfather returned later that day and found Clark loading a 50-inch Samsung TV onto a truck. Clark managed to flee with the stolen items, and his stepfather discovered that the front door had been forced open and two Samsung cell phones were missing. Clark then proceeded to sell the phones at a local Walmart for $130. Currently, Clark was already in custody at the Rowan County Detention Annex for a separate breaking and entering incident that involved the theft of cigarettes from a convenience store and a larceny at Walmart. The Salisbury Police Department has been diligently connecting the dots between these crimes, emphasizing their commitment to preserving public safety. The investigation into Clark’s recent offenses is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with potential information to come forward.
