Man Arrested in Salisbury Drug Bust with Cocaine, Firearm

Salisbury, MD – Antravon Martise Harmon, a 26-year-old resident of Salisbury, is facing multiple charges related to the distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) following a drug bust at his residence. The arrest comes after complaints about Harmon’s alleged involvement in CDS activity prompted the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Community Action Team (CAT) to execute a search warrant.

On August 17, members of the CAT, along with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, conducted a thorough search of Harmon’s residence on the 400 block of South Blvd in Salisbury, MD. The search uncovered approximately 15.72 grams of cocaine, digital scales, $1,186.00 in US currency, packaging material, a firearm, and ammunition – all of which are indicative of CDS distribution and manufacturing.

Harmon, who was stopped and subsequently released just prior to the execution of the search warrant, now faces several charges, including manufacturing a narcotic, possession with intent to distribute a narcotic, possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.

Despite his initial release, authorities were able to locate and arrest Harmon on September 18 with the assistance of the Capitol Area Regional Task Force. He is currently being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.

The arrest and seizure of drugs and weapons highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the distribution of illegal substances in Salisbury and the surrounding areas. The execution of search warrants and targeted operations are essential in disrupting drug networks and ensuring the safety of the community.

This incident serves as a reminder of the consequences individuals may face when engaging in illegal drug activities. The charges against Harmon reflect the seriousness with which law enforcement agencies treat drug trafficking offenses.

While authorities work diligently to apprehend those involved in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances, it is equally important for the community to play an active role in reporting suspicious activities. By reporting such activities to the relevant authorities, residents can contribute to making Salisbury a safer place for everyone.

Law enforcement agencies continue to encourage citizens to remain vigilant and report any information or concerns regarding illegal drug activities in their neighborhoods. Together, the community and law enforcement can make a significant impact in combating drug-related crimes and safeguarding the well-being of Salisbury residents.
