A man has been arrested in New Delhi for possession of 3.16 grams of heroin. The man, identified as Mohammad Nazim, was allegedly part of an intra-state drug syndicate. The Delhi Police received a tip-off regarding drug trafficking near ISBT Kashmere Gate, which led to Nazim’s arrest. He reportedly told police that he was tricked into the drug-trafficking business by a man named Owaisi. Nazim began supplying drugs in various parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region in an effort to lead a lavish life and earn more money. This arrest comes after the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, chaired the 5th meeting of the State level committee of NCORD, instructing agencies to make the national capital drug-free.
