Maison Des Champs, a local rock climber, attempted this daring stunt to raise funds for a pregnant woman in need. Las Vegas police received multiple calls about the climber and later confirmed his arrest. The incident occurred just days before Las Vegas hosts its first-ever Super Bowl, which is expected to bring in a large number of visitors. Des Champs has a history of scaling buildings for causes, having been previously arrested for climbing the Aria on the Strip in protest of mask mandates during the pandemic. He was also detained after scaling Phoenix’s tallest building to promote his anti-abortion cause. In San Francisco, he climbed the 1,070-foot Salesforce Tower in response to a leaked draft in the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade abortion case.
