A 54-year-old man has been arrested and is now in police custody after allegedly attempting to stab a man and two police officers with a knife, according to LaGrange police officials. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when officers received reports of a person with a weapon at Miss Bubbles Laundry on Ashton Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were greeted by a victim who claimed that the suspect, identified as Lonzell Turman, had chased him and was wielding a knife in an attempt to stab him.
Turman was eventually located by the officers at Hot Spot on S. Greenwood Street. However, as they tried to detain him, the situation quickly turned physically combative, with Turman brandishing the knife at the officers. Despite sustaining minor injuries during the altercation, the officers managed to subdue Turman and place him under arrest.
