A man has been arrested in connection with an accident that left a head constable injured in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. The accused, identified as Taranpreet Singh (22), was apprehended by police after attempting to flee the scene when the constable signaled him to halt. The incident occurred on November 15 when constable Ravi Kumar, who was patrolling the area on a motorcycle, noticed two individuals on a bike without helmets and with their faces masked. After signaling them to stop, the suspects accelerated and escaped. Intensifying the chase, Constable Kumar caught up with them in Hari Nagar, where they collided with his motorcycle, causing him to fall. The situation took a turn for the worse when an SUV, driven recklessly, struck the injured constable before fleeing the scene. Thanks to CCTV footage, the motorcycle involved was traced back to Taranpreet Singh, but efforts are still underway to identify the SUV and its driver. The constable sustained severe injuries in the incident.
