Firearms, thousands of doses worth of drugs seized in Greater Victoria raids

Drugs and firearms were seized as police raided several properties in Greater Victoria, resulting in the arrest of three individuals associated with a local motorcycle club. On January 31, officers from various police agencies executed a series of raids in Colwood, View Royal, North Saanich, and Victoria.

During the raids, law enforcement confiscated 450 grams of fentanyl, 150 grams of methamphetamine, $46,000 in cash, an SKS rifle, and handguns. The authorities estimate that the seized fentanyl alone would account for at least 4,500 individual doses, with the potential for tens of thousands more depending on its purity level.

In connection with the enforcement, one woman from Colwood and two men from Langford were taken into custody. Of the arrested individuals, one man was identified as a full-patch member of the Savages Motorcycle Club, which is known to be a support club of the Hells Angels.

Sgt. Ryan Walsh of the West Shore RCMP’s Drugs and Organized Crime Unit expressed a firm commitment to combatting the drug trade in the region.

The raids targeted properties linked to the Savages Motorcycle Club, further underscoring law enforcement’s ongoing efforts to address organized crime and drug trafficking in Greater Victoria.

The successful operation reflects the collaboration between multiple police agencies dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. With the support of the RCMP, CFSEU-BC, and other units, the authorities continue to combat illicit drug activities and related crimes throughout the region.

As investigations unfold and additional information becomes available, authorities anticipate shedding further light on the extent of the drug trafficking and organized criminal activities associated with the Savages Motorcycle Club. In the interest of maintaining public safety, local law enforcement remains vigilant in their efforts to disrupt criminal networks and protect the Greater Victoria area from the harmful impact of illegal drugs.
