Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, has become the top electric 3-wheeler manufacturer in India in the fiscal year 2022-23. The company sold 36,816 electric vehicles (EVs), up from 17,522 in the previous year, and claimed a 14.6% market share, according to Vahan data. The achievement has been attributed to the company’s extensive network of 1,150 touchpoints across India, over 10,000 charging stations, and the trust that its customers have in the Mahindra brand.
LMM added the Zor Grand three-wheeler EV to its electric portfolio in FY23, which boosted its order book to more than 23,000 within a year of its launch. The company’s other EVs include the Treo range of vehicles and the Alfas – Mini and Cargo. The Treo remains the leading electric auto, while the Treo Zor and Zor Grand cargo versions lead their segment with a 32% share. The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainable transportation has resulted in the sale of over 100,000 EVs so far.

To cater to the increasing demand for electric vehicles, LMM has started working on expanding its Zaheerabad plant to manufacture electric 3- and 4-wheelers for last-mile mobility. The company has also announced an additional line for its Treo auto at its Haridwar facility. Recently, the 50,000th Mahindra eAlfa rolled out from the Haridwar plant, marking another milestone in LMM’s journey to sustainable electric transportation.
