Maharashtra: CM Shinde hails PM Modi as group of 300 leaves on foot for Ram Temple in Ayodhya
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling the aspirations of millions of Indians with the construction of a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A group of approximately 300 individuals embarked on a journey on foot to reach the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. CM Shinde bid farewell to the devotees during an event and acknowledged the significance of their pilgrimage, which is expected to last 47 days.
Speaking at the event, CM Shinde commended PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their efforts in the construction of the Ram Temple. He stated that it would be a profound experience for the devotees, emphasizing the importance of devotion, pride, and faith. CM Shinde also mentioned that the ambitious project resonates with the vision of the late Bal Thackeray, founder of the Shiv Sena party.
I am thankful to PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for fulfilling the dreams of crores of people with the construction of the Ram Temple. It will be fruitful for their ‘shraddha, asmita, and bhakti’ (devotion and pride), said CM Shinde.
The 300 individuals embarking on this spiritual journey were praised by CM Shinde for their dedication and courage. He acknowledged that the path ahead would not be easy, underscoring their immense devotion.
Prior to this event, CM Shinde paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and participated in cleanliness drives at Juhu Beach, Vile Parle (East), and Kandivali (East) in Maharashtra. Additionally, he surveyed the damaged paddy crops in Tarsa, Nagpur district. Accompanied by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde, CM Shinde assessed the extensive damage caused by unseasonal rain.
Heavy rainfall has led to significant crop damage, affecting approximately 124 villages and 852 hectares of land in Mauda and Ramtek Parshivani talukas of Nagpur district.
The pilgrimage to Ayodhya symbolizes the deep-rooted faith that many Indians hold. It serves as a testament to the importance of religious and cultural beliefs in their lives. The construction of the Ram Temple has not only fulfilled the aspirations of millions but has also transformed Ayodhya into a crucial destination for pilgrims from around the world.
CM Shinde anticipates that when he visits Ayodhya for the temple inauguration and idol consecration on January 22, he too will witness the grandeur of the temple and seek blessings.
