Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who is on a three-day tour to Jammu and Kashmir with his son and MP Shrinkant Shinde, has expressed his optimism about the situation in the region. He met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and lauded the progress made in the area.
Shinde specifically pointed out the increase in tourist visits to Jammu and Kashmir, stating that this growth is indicative of the region’s improved situation. He also requested land from the Lieutenant Governor to construct the Maharashtra Bhavan in Srinagar, which would provide convenience for tourists from Maharashtra. Sinha assured him of full cooperation in this regard.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister is confident that this development will benefit the economy of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as promote Maharashtra’s art and culture in the union territory.
