Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde held a meeting with party in-charges from 15 states in Srinagar on Sunday. This is the first time the meeting was held outside Maharashtra. In the meeting, Shinde interacted with party in-charges from states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, where he gave them guidance on how to strengthen the Shiv Sena party by expanding it in other states.
The meeting also discussed the BJP’s help in expanding the Shiv Sena party because the two parties have an alliance at the central level and hold 13 seats in the Lok Sabha. Shinde’s priority was to provide an opportunity to state in-charges to present their views. The event was beneficial since the state in-charges shared their opinions on how to strengthen the Shiv Sena party.
Shinde came to power in Maharashtra in 2022, where he re-established his alliance with the BJP, and will soon complete his first year in office. In June 2022, he and 39 Shiv Sena MLAs rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray, which led to the collapse of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. Later, the Election Commission allotted the Shiv Sena party name and the bow and arrow poll symbol to the Shinde-led party.
In conclusion, the meeting was held to strengthen relationships between party in-charges from different states and brought leaders together to discuss strategies to strengthen the Shiv Sena party. The meeting encouraged Shiv Sena to expand its horizons with the help of BJP’s assistance, which will benefit both parties on a national level.
