Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized former Congress chief Arun Yadav for his derogatory remarks towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Yadav had belittled PM Modi by implying that even if his late father visits the state, BJP cannot come back to power in the upcoming assembly elections.
CM Chouhan condemned Yadav’s comments on Twitter, stating that Congress has resorted to using uncivilized language as they cannot compete with the popular PM. He termed such behavior Congress culture and called them Mohabbat ki Dukaan.
Adding further, Chouhan said that Yadav’s comments on the late father of PM Modi is a symbol of his mentality, and the politician had crossed a line. Yadav had broken the political lines, and Madhya Pradesh was ashamed of his remarks.
Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey also reacted to Yadav’s remarks, saying that BJP would triumph under PM Modi’s leadership.
Earlier, Arun Yadav had claimed that the wind of favor was for Congress in Madhya Pradesh, and they would win the upcoming assembly elections.
The BJP has been in power in the state since 2003, except for the 15 months when the Congress ruled between 2018 and 2020. However, with Jyotiraditya Scindia helping the BJP topple the Congress government in March 2020, the BJP regained power in the state. BJP President JP Nadda’s visit to the state ahead of the upcoming elections is anticipated to boost the party’s chances of winning.
