Ludhiana Administration Conducts Anti-Encroachment Drive, Vacates 7 Acres of Land
The Ludhiana district administration conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Hasanpur Billon village under Samrala subdivision on Monday. An area of over seven acres of land was vacated from private individuals who had been allegedly occupying it illegally for several years.
The team involved in the operation consisted of members from the rural development and panchayat departments, as well as local police. The land has now been handed over to the village panchayat for further action.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik led the team and highlighted the importance of the operation. Removing illegal settlements is one of the administration’s top priorities, as encroachment causes harm to the environment and disturbs social harmony.
