London Man Arrested for Suspected Possession of Child Pornography
A 23-year-old man from London, Ontario has been apprehended following an investigation by the London Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, related to alleged possession of child pornography. The inquiry was instigated by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children after concerning images were uploaded on a social media platform.
The London Police Service was alerted to the images and an ongoing investigation involving the individual in late August 2023. On October 5th, the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Meadowgate Boulevard, resulting in the arrest of a suspect. Electronic devices were seized during the operation, which subsequently led to the discovery of evidence indicating the possession of suspected child pornography.
In connection with the investigation, the 23-year-old London man has been charged with various offenses. The accused is expected to appear in London court on November 14th to face these charges. Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.
