LG Electronics Strengthens Organizational Capabilities for Future Vision 2030

LG Electronics has announced significant organisational changes as part of its ongoing efforts to achieve its Future Vision 2030. The South Korean company aims to transform into a smart life solution provider that connects various spaces and experiences for customers beyond home appliances. A key aspect of its strategy is the establishment of the Overseas Sales and Marketing Company, which will directly report to LG CEO William Cho. Led by Thomas Yoon, former President and CEO of LG Electronics North America, the new company will play a vital role in accelerating growth, enhancing brand power, and creating customer value. It will oversee overseas sales subsidiaries, global marketing, and the D2C Sales Business Group. The restructuring aims to strengthen executive capabilities in overseas operations, provide support for qualitative growth, and develop overseas sales expertise. Additionally, LG will focus on advancing platform-based businesses and innovative D2C models. In the Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, an engineering sales division will be established to maximize business synergy in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sector. The Home Beauty Business will also be transferred from the Home Entertainment Company to the Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. The Home Entertainment Company will further solidify its transition into a media and entertainment powerhouse, with the establishment of a webOS software development group and an extended reality (XR) business division. Park Hyoung-sei, president of the Home Entertainment Company, will directly oversee these new divisions. The Vehicle Component Solutions Company will establish a Global Customer Strategy Division to strengthen marketing functions and accelerate business growth. Meanwhile, the Business Solutions Company will expand sales and operations in key regions and upgrade the B2B India Business Department to a division to ensure continuous growth in India. With these strategic organizational changes, LG aims to drive further development of original technologies, support business transformation, and deliver enhanced products and services to its global customers.
