Legal Literacy Camp in Khargone Promotes Road Safety & Citizen Rights, India

Khargone (Madhya Pradesh): The district legal services authority, in collaboration with the district court Mandleshwar, organized a legal literacy camp at Government Law College in Khargone on Wednesday. The camp focused on raising awareness about road safety and the importance of legal aid.

Under the guidance of district judge and district legal services authority secretary Mandleshwar, Narendra Patel, and Government Law College Principal Dr RS Deora, the event aimed to educate citizens about their rights and responsibilities. Patel highlighted the significance of legal aid and victim compensation schemes while emphasizing the need to adhere to the Motor Vehicle Act.

During the camp, Patel also stressed the importance of responsible driving and urged students to avoid careless behavior on the road. He further emphasized the necessity of vehicle insurance and encouraged students to educate their families on its importance.

Dr Deora, Principal of Government Law College, emphasized the crucial role that law students play in spreading legal awareness among the masses. He urged them to actively contribute to society by utilizing their legal knowledge.

The event saw the participation of academic staff including Bharat Singh Thakur, Vipin Soni, and Abhishek Singh Lodhi, along with LLB students. Chandrabhan Trivedi, the Head of the department, proposed a vote of thanks, appreciating everyone’s presence and active participation.

The legal literacy camp successfully enhanced awareness of road safety and legal aid schemes among the attendees. Through the combined efforts of the district legal services authority and Government Law College, the event aimed to make a positive impact on the community, emphasizing the significance of following legal guidelines and ensuring road safety.
